Everyday I write a blurb about someone who is celebrating a birthday but you probably didn’t know. It can be anyone from an A list celebrity to a D list athlete. I do not discriminate. The purpose is to enlighten/make you laugh. Depending on who is celebrating, it can be a hate post or just showing some birthday love. As for today:
Happy 54th Ice-T
Did you know Ice T’s real name is Tracy Marrow? (True Story). Did you know if you look up Ice-T in the dictionary it says “Epitome Of A Sell out” (OK, not true but if it was would you be surprised?) He went from gang banger, to a soldier in the army, to hip hop guru, to NBC prime-time television actor, to reality TV. When I think of “American Dream” I think of Ice T’s life timeline. I mean come on. Is that not the most ridiculous timeline ever? It just has “I was a thug but lost all of my money so had to sell out” written all over it. Don’t try and tell me he plays a bad ass so it makes him not a sell out. As much as I love me some Law and Order: SVU, any street cred anyone has goes out the door when they sign on for NBC prime time TV (Excluding anyone from the show Friday Night Lights). The world may never know. But one thing is for sure, I can make fun of him all I want, but every night he goes home to this, so he may have the last laugh after all (if you’re into this type of thing)
